Standard agents are not allowed to sell K4.
If KGM provides a quote, it should be treated as a 'holding rate'.
This holding rate serves as an estimated price, and in such cases, the policy should be referred to Non-Standard (NS). The purpose of this holding rate is to give agents an initial sense of whether KGM's final price will be significantly lower than the next best insurer's quote.
For example, if KGM's holding rate is £1,200 and the next best quote is £2,000, the agent should not spend time trying to sell the £2,000 policy. Instead, they should promptly transfer this to Non-Standard.
