Built-in Commission

  • Definition: This is the commission (load), displayed as a percentage, that the insurer has pre-added.
    • Note: This figure cannot be changed. When selling a gross-rated product with built-in commission on a policy with a ‘zero’ broker discount, any built-in commission becomes a positive earning for the agent.
    • Note: If Built-in Commission is showing on a policy, it indicates that it is a ‘Gross-Rated Policy’. All other policies are ‘Net-Rated Policies’.
