Overview
Sometimes the model of the vehicle will dictate the size of the vehicle. The codes in the key below cover all types of wheelbase and height configurations for all vehicles.
These codes will appear within the edition field dropdown.
Key
Wheelbase:
- LWB - Long Wheelbase: Longer distance between front and rear wheels, often providing more interior space, usually found in luxury vehicles or large commercial vans.
- MWB - Medium Wheelbase: A compromise between LWB and SWB, offering balanced manoeuvrability and interior space.
- SWB - Short Wheelbase: Shorter distance between front and rear wheels, typically making the vehicle more agile and easier to park.
- EL - Extra Long Wheelbase: Even longer than the standard long wheelbase, typically found in specialised vehicles like limousines or certain commercial vans.
- XLWB - Extra Long Wheelbase (alternative term): Similar to EL, offers even more interior space than the standard long wheelbase.
- L1 - Short Wheelbase: Similar to SWB, indicates a shorter wheelbase that is typically more agile and easier to manoeuvre.
- L2 - Medium Wheelbase: Similar to MWB, it offers a balanced combination of interior space and manoeuvrability.
- L3 - Long Wheelbase: Similar to LWB, it provides more room inside the vehicle and is often found in luxury saloons or larger vans.
- L4 - Extra Long Wheelbase (sometimes used): An extension of L3, usually found in specialised vehicles like limousines or larger commercial vehicles.
Height Configurations:
- HT - High Top Vehicle: Taller roof height to provide more interior space, common in commercial vans.
- MT - Medium Top Vehicle (less common): Offers moderate roof height, usually a compromise between high-top and standard configurations.
- ST - Standard Top Vehicle (less common): Regular roof height, typically found in most passenger cars and SUVs.
- H1 - Standard Height: Indicates the vehicle has a standard roof height, similar to ST.
- H2 - Medium Height: Slightly taller than standard height but shorter than high-top, offers some extra interior space.
- H3 - High Top Van: Similar to HT, these are the tallest vans designed to maximise interior height.
