This cover ensures that in the unforeseen event of an accident or assault due to road rage resulting in bodily harm or death, protection is in place. This encompasses incidents like road traffic accidents and aggressive encounters on the road.
Who Benefits?
1. Policyholder, Their Spouse & Any Named Driver:
- When driving any insured vehicle.
- As a passenger in any vehicle.
- While entering or exiting such a vehicle.
2. Passengers with the Policyholder:
- When in a vehicle driven by the policyholder.
- While entering or exiting a vehicle driven by the policyholder.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a valid motor insurance.
- Possess a permanent UK address and are a UK resident.
- Are at least 17 years old at the policy's inception.
Coverage Details:
Beneficiaries are entitled to up to £20,000 following a covered event, should they sustain injuries or face death due to an accident or road rage incident.
- Indemnity up to £20,000.
- Coverage spans the UK, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man.
- Includes 90 days in the EU.
- No deductible required.
- Claiming won't impact the policyholder's No Claims Bonus.
Key Exclusions:
- Claim amounts won't exceed the maximum policy benefit in a given period.
- No multiple claims for the same accident per insured person.
- Injuries known or treated by the beneficiary 12 months before the policy's start won't be covered.
- Coverage won't apply if the insured is above the UK's legal alcohol limit or impaired by drugs while driving.
