Public Liability

This question if answered as a yes, will likely lead to insurers providing a concession.

It is also a fantastic cross selling opportunity, make sure you are either passing it as a warm lead to the PL team or emailing it to leads2@businesscompare.com for them to provide a quote.

Additionally you can search your phonebook on Syntelate for ‘Business Compare SME’, this will pass your customer through to the Public Liability team’s extension.

What is public liability or SME insurance?

Nearly all occupations require business insurance. If they are a sole trader or business owner, they should have it. Costs any where from £60.00 to 50k depending on the risk. The average tradesman is usually around £90/£150. It usually covers things like damage to a client’s property, or injury to a member of the public or property. Example builder drills through a water main and floods a customer’s house. Couriers always need Public Liability and usually need Goods in Transit. Goods in Transit protects the customer against damaged items whilst in transit from client to consumer. Additional features can be added like specialist tools cover and all sorts of goodies.

How do you transfer?

Email leads2@businesscompare.com saying passed through for a quote. Along with a print screen of CDL with the customers name and number.

Pass the customer to the XSALE-SME line in the phone book. The code is 3728
