- Our maximum vehicle value is £40,000 on Comprehensive policies and £5,000 on Third Party, Fire and Theft policies. Our minimum vehicle value is £500 on both Comprehensive and Third Party, Fire and Theft policies. Please note: any vehicles with a vehicle value of £30,000+ require a tracker to be fitted in order to meet our criteria.
- We allow the transfer of NCD from Spouse/Civil Partner/Common Law to our policyholder. We can accept this as long our policyholder has been on the policy for the amount of years of the NCD and the brokers get a letter confirming the Spouse/Civil Partner/Common Law is happy to give the NCD to the policyholder.
- If the Spouse/Civil Partner/Common Law has passed away or had their licence revoked due to age or medical condition then NCD can be transferred without the letter.

Previous policy cancelled/voidance:
Specific to Covea only, this is not relevant for other insurers
- Direct Debit default: If a proposer has previously had a policy cancelled due to Direct Debit default, then we can accept the risk as long as this was the only reason for cancellation. Please be aware however, if you accept the business on your Direct Debit and the customer defaults again we will NOT waive cancellation fees or assist with any financial shortfall.
- Non-disclosure/Misrepresentation: If a proposer has previously had a policy cancelled or voided due to non-disclosure or misrepresentation then we cannot accept the risk.
- Failed validation: If a proposer has previously had a policy cancelled or voided due to failed validation e.g. failure to provide proof of NCD, licence etc. then we can accept the risk but only on the basis that all validation checks are carried out prior to the inception of the new policy
