- Additional Permitted Categories: Insured & Spouse, Insured & Civil Partner and Insured & Common Law are also permitted but will not be rated for and should be included as Insured + named.
- Classes of Use: Classes of use available are social domestic and pleasure including commuting, and carriage of own goods.
- SD&P Exclusions: SD&P excluding, Fast food delivery and courier class of use are not available.
- Age of Van Multipliers: All vehicles over 20 years of age are to decline.
- Class of Use Multipliers: SD&P excluding, Fast food delivery and courier class of use are not available. SDP&C cover is available on policies where all drivers are 30 years of age or older, this rule is introduced to NB and Renewals only.
- Vehicle Ownership: We only accept the following types of ownership for the vehicle to be insured under this policy: Proposer, Company, as long as the Company is that of the Proposers, Leased Vehicle, as long as the lease agreement is in excess of 12 months and in the name of either the Proposer or the Proposers Company. Any Ownership type outside of the above is not acceptable under any circumstances.
- Left Hand Drive Multiplier: Declined for new and renewed business from December 2014.
- Q Plate Multiplier: Please decline all Q Plated vans.
- Criminal Conviction Multiplier: Please decline if question is answered yes (system asks this and insurance refused question as one).
- Previous Cancellation / Insurance Refused / Terms Imposed Multiplier: Please decline if question is answered yes.
- Vehicle Value Charges: Comprehensive – Maximum value accepted is £25,000. On TPFT & TPO - Maximum value accepted is £9,999. There is no minimum value.
- Number of Seats Table: Maximum we allow is 4.
- Hazardous Goods/Special Apparatus: We do not accept.
- Windscreen Cover: Included in comprehensive cover – not available on TPFT. A £75 excess is applied to claims for replacement carried out by an approved repairer. Cover is limited to £200 if a non-approved repairer is used. No excess applies if glass is repaired rather than replaced. If calibration is needed for advanced systems then the excess is £150.
- Trailers / Containers: We will not cover vans with trailers or containers attached.
- 3 Wheeled Vehicles: 3 wheeled vehicles are not acceptable.
- Medical Convictions: Drivers with medical conditions are accepted at normal terms providing the DVLA have been notified and that a valid driving licence is held.
- Temporary Additional Vehicles: Not acceptable.
- Temporary Additional Drivers: Not acceptable.
- Other Miscellaneous - Body Type: Acceptable body types are below. All others are unacceptable: Car derived van, Panel van, MPV, Window van.
- Gap in Cover: Watford don't accept NCD that is older than 2 years old. For overlap in policies we do not allow any more than 14 days.
