What Is It? 🤔
The ‘Body Type Check tool’ is a vital instrument, used to determine the legitimacy of both the vehicle and its usage. 🚗
The vehicle that is being insured is usually a telltale sign of what it will be used for going forward. For example, Tippers are usually for waste disposal, and Pickups are commonly used as daily drivers in rural areas. 🌳
But it’s not just the body type that reveals the usage! You can also deduce an idea of usage from the chassis of a vehicle. For instance, a long wheelbase van is more likely to be used for deliveries and couriers. On the other hand, a short wheelbase van is more likely to be employed by builders or engineers. 📦
How Do I Use It? 🛠️
- Head to ‘Validation Tools’ and locate the ‘Body Type Check’ tool:

- Once you click the down arrow, you’ll see a google image search for that specific year and model of van:

- It is best to use common sense here, however you will be prompted towards the top of the tool.
- If you do wish to make any changes, simply change the desired field and hit ‘Get Prices’
