Vehicle Ownership:
What is it?
Vehicle ownership is a tool that will help you identify potential quote errors. For example, customers will frequently select ‘leased’ for both for the vehicle owner and registered keeper.
Policies must have insurable interest to be incepted. So make sure there’s a link to the owner of the vehicle
How do I use it?
Head to ‘Validation Tools’ and find the ‘Vehicle Ownership’ tool – this will only display if there is a potential error within the risk criteria:

Select the down arrow:

In this instance, leased has been selected for both the owner and registered keeper.
In this scenario you would then quiz your customer on who the lease belongs to, is it in their name? A spouses name?
From here, if the registered keeper is not named on the quotation, you must get them added to ensure there is insurable interest.
You would then simply update the registered keeper in the below fields:

Once done, hit ‘Get Price’ and get quoting!
